Governor Beverly Perdue announced at a ceremony today that Clearwater Paper Corporation has chosen Shelby, North Carolina to build their new tissue factory.  Red Rock Development, Cleveland County Economic Development Partnership along with WHN Architects worked for over a year to bring Clearwater Paper to the area.  The facility will be located on a 100-acre track in the Cleveland County Industrial Park and employ 250 workers.  Clearwater hopes to have the two lines in production by the second half of 2011.
